2/28/2016    Fourth Sunday at Four

Music by The Prodigal Players, and Artwork by Bonnie Vanney. Originally a musical drama by Igor Stravinsky, this reimagined version tells the story of an electric violinist, a Cajun fiddler, who is a Special Forces soldier from Thibodaux who is persuaded by the Devil into playing a tricked-out guitar for rock and roll fame. Bonnie is a third generation artist, and the granddaughter of Susie Wass Thompson of Cape Split, Maine. Susie’s extraordinary talent was recognized in Who’s Who in American Art from 1964-1975, and for more than 75 years (remaining entirely self-taught as was Susie) the Thompson artists have preserved the beauty of their surroundings in paintings across the country in much the same way Bonnie has inherited the family’s ability to capture the very soul of the seas and lands in her work. On the grounds of Christ Episcopal Church,
